White
Aberarder White
This light easy drinking white wine has aromas of peaches, pears and green grass on the nose, a citrus tang, a smooth clean finish with a perceived sweetness. It is a blend of Aberarder White, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
It will be a great accompaniment to fresh fruit or vegetables, roasted chicken with sage, chicken parmesan, sharp old cheeses or just on it’s own.
Riesling (VQA)
This crisp, medium bodied, straw coloured white wine has hazelnut and green apple on the nose with a floral bouquet. There is green apple and minerality notes on the palate with a crisp lemon zest finish.
It will be a great accompaniment to a charcuterie platter, soft goats cheese, roast chicken with a herb rub, pork chops with apple sauce, smoked rainbow trout, or just on its own.
Unoaked Chardonnay VQA
This medium bodied, straw coloured, white wine is smooth and well balanced. There are honey, gooseberry and yellow apple notes on the nose, a perceived honey sweetness on the tongue with lemon on the back, and a refreshing acidity.
It will be a great accompaniment to a Sunday Brunch, smoked aged cheddar, halibut, rainbow trout, a turkey and Swiss sandwich or just on its own.
Oaked Sauvignon Blanc
This full bodied creamy smooth white wine has a smoky nose with nutmeg, baking spice, pear, baked apple and tropical fruit notes. The palate is citrus fruits, toffee and pineapple, with a balanced acidity. This is a wine for whiskey or complex wine drinkers.
It will be a great accompaniment to cheese, fruit or fresh vegetable platters, Chicken Kiev, Rosemary encrusted chicken, spinach quiche, or just on its own.
White Cat White VQA
A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. This pleasant, easy drinking, white wine is “Summer in a Glass”. It has caramel and honey on the nose, with white peach and orange notes. There is a sweetness on the tongue and nicely balanced acidity.
It will be a great accompaniment to a cream dishes such as fettuccini Alfredo, white fish in a dill cream sauce, coconut curry, fruit and cheese platters, or just on its own.
Sauvignon Blanc VQA
This medium bodied, pale straw-coloured wine is fresh and tart with a lemongrass nose, peach and floral notes. It tastes of honey on the tongue and has a lovely long smooth finish.
It will be a great accompaniment to pasta with a lemon cream sauce, white fish such as sole in a lemon butter sauce, goats cheeses, spicy foods, or just on its own.
2018 Vidal VQA (aka Sheep Wine)
This crisp, light, straw coloured off-dry white wine has green apple and honey notes on the nose and ripe yellow apple notes on the palate. It has a well balanced acidity, a clean mouthfeel, with a tart citrusy finish.
It will be a great accompaniment to cheddar cheese, chicken cordon bleu, herb and garlic unripened cheese, Asian foods or just on its own.
Rose
Rose Noir
This is not your Mama’s Rose. Our Rose Noir is a crisp fruity wine blended from Marechal Foch and Chambourcin grapes, that is soft on the palate with notes of ripe red fruits and a clean refreshing sweetness. It has a lovely licorice, baked apple, caramel and honey nose with aromas of ripe cherries.
This is a picnic basket wine, and will be a great accompaniment to garlic buttered shrimp, smoked salmon, smoked ham, goat cheese burgers, dried fruits or just on its own.
Red
2016 Cabernet VQA
This balanced, medium bodied, ruby red wine has sweet cherry, blackberry and dark ripe red fruit on the palette, medium tannins, a lovely soft smoky nose with aromas of anise and baking spices.
It will be a great accompaniment to prime rib, french onion soup, steak with a bluecheese dressing, beef ribs, meat lovers pizza or just on its own.
Pinot Noir VQA
This earthy, smooth, light red wine has chocolate, ripe red berries and spicy notes on the nose and a smooth lingering finish. On the tongue there are cranberry and cherry notes.
It will be a great accompaniment to salmon dishes, brie cheeses, pork ribs, Turkey dinner with all the fixings, dark chocolate or just on its own.
Cabernet Franc VQA
This medium bodied garnet coloured wine has round tannins, medium acidity and leather on the palate, with a long soft smooth finish. It has a lovely spicey, cigar box and tobacco nose with aromas of wild ripe strawberries, violets, jammy red fruits, baking spices and soft smoke.
This is a Cowboy wine, and will be a great accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch, pate, duck in a blackberry compote, Rosemary pork loin, blue cheeses or just on its own.
Cabernet Sauvignon VQA
This balanced, full bodied, deep ruby red wine has ripe red fruit, soft tannins and medium acidity on the palate. There is a lovely earthy nose with aromas of ripe red berries, chocolate and baking spices.
It will be a great accompaniment to prime rib, bacon wrapped filet mignon, steak with a blue cheese dressing, mushroom risotto, beef ribs, dark chocolate or just on its own. This wine has great aging potential.
Gamay VQA
This light, easy drinking ruby red wine, has a refreshing acidity, is fruity with aromas of wild strawberry, sherry and cherry jello on the nose, and cranberry on the palate.
This is a picnic basket wine, and will be a great accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch, pork roast, dried fruit and nuts, Turkey dinner or just on its own.
Aberarder Red VQA
This elegant, full bodied, garnet red wine is a well balanced blend of cabernet grapes. It has a long smooth smoky finish with leather, licorice, tobacco and baking spices on the nose and ripe dark fruits and baking spices on the tongue.
It will be a great accompaniment to roast beef, pizza, blue cheese, mushroom swiss burgers, or just on its own.
Merlot VQA
This medium bodied deep burgundy coloured wine has black cherry, plum, red berry notes on the nose. It has a smooth subtle taste with hints of coffee, medium tannins and a long finish. This wine has great structure and will age for many years, if you can ignore it.
The wine will be a great accompaniment to prime rib with garlic and mushrooms, beef Wellington, dark chocolate, old or smoked cheddar, or just on it’s own.
Egremont Red
This balanced, full bodied, deep ruby red wine has dried fruits, blueberry and soft rounded velvety oak tannins on the palate. There is a lovely, soft, jammy nose with aromas of dark red fruits, leather, anise and baking spices.
It will be a great accompaniment to beef Wellington, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, wild game, venison, ostrich, beef Bourguignon, or just on its own.
Bacchus Baco Noir
This full bodied, skillfully blended, heavy red wine is 80% Baco Noir and 20% Regent creating a harmonious fusion of flavours. It has a lovely earthy nose with aromas of bumbleberry pie, Bing cherries, chocolate and ripe black fruits. On the palate it is a complex wine with tart blackberries and plums.
This wine will be a great accompaniment to a burger (with pickles), blue cheeses, pecan crusted chicken breast with goats cheese, BBQ chicken, after dinner cigars, or just on its own.
