Description
Marechal Foch
Our Rosé Noir is a crisp fruity wine blended from the dark red Marechal Foch and Chambourcin grapes pressed immediately off their skins and then the juice fermented. It is a delicious and very popular deep red wine, higher in acid (so it can be quaffed cold). It is not a thin, light wine as other common Rosés. A beautiful patio wine.
Tasting notes for this wine are :
This lovely medium acidity ruby red wine is a blend of 90% Marechal Foch, and 10% Chambourcin grapes. Tannins are soft on the palate with a persistent length. The wine has notes of jammy raspberry, cherry, licorice, spicy black pepper and cinnamon on the nose. On the palate, lovely jammy red fruit and spice. This is a picnic basket wine, and will be a great accompaniment to pasta Bolognese, salmon with garlic and cherry tomato chutney (over linguine), hoisin glazed pork belly, goat cheese burgers, dried fruits or just on its own.
