Description
2020 Baco Noir
This wine is a nicely balanced blend of our two newer grape varieties Baco Noir, the increasingly popular Hybrid Grape in Ontario, and Regent, a new German developed Vinifera. Delicious, smooth and easy to drink.
We love our farm animals, and recognize them by putting their pictures on the bottles. This label celebrates one of our favourite dogs, Bacchus, named yes after the God of Wine. Bacchus enthusiastically greats and entertains us and our guests, and is popular as a guide on our walking trails.
Tasting notes for this wine are :
This medium bodied, medium acidity, dark ruby red wine, has a lovely earthy nose with aromas of chocolate and blueberries. On the palate it is complex with tart dried cherries, dried cranberries, dried herbs and dusty tannins. This wine will be a great accompaniment to a burger, marbled prime rib with gravy, wild mushroom risotto, pecan crusted chicken breast with goats cheese, BBQ chicken, dark chocolate mousse, after dinner cigars, or just on its own.
