Ribfest June 14 to 16, 2023
Plans are well underway for the 2024 Carpenter’s Local 1256 Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest presented by the Sarnia Construction Association. The host organizing committee is excited to announce that the 24th annual, three-day event will be held at Centennial Park, June 14-16 Father’s Day weekend. And Alton Farms Estate Winery will be supplying the wine – see you there!
Centennial Park is a perfect location for the ultimate Father’s Day weekend event. This beautiful waterfront park is a perfect venue for Festivals and concerts!
“The Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest has become a marque family- friendly event with an annual attendance of 15,000” said Vicky Praill Special Events and Sports Marketing Co-ordinator for Tourism Sarnia Lambton. “Last year we had 25,600, that’s about 10,000 above average. This three-day event offers, fall off the bone ribs, great food, family entertainment and well know musical acts, that will surely be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. This event has truly become a signature event for our community.”
The Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest committee will release the Number of professional rib teams and entertainment in the new year. There will also be an artesian area as well as additional food vendors and a beer tent.
The Sarnia Kinsmen Club has been serving and building the Sarnia Community for over 90years and all monies raised goes back into the community and local charities.
Over the years, they have raised over 1 million dollars for the community and supported many community initiatives.
“We support over 30 charities and initiatives, such as the kids playgrounds, Baxter park upgrades, the Inn of the Good Shepard, Salvation Army, Kidney Foundation, Boys Scouts, Air Cadets, Heart and Stroke, Cystic Fibrosis, Cancer Society just to name a few. We also organize and raise money for the Santa Claus and Canada Day Parades,” said Jack Struck, Co-Chair of Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest event. “We are all volunteers giving back to our community and with the continued support from our sponsors and the thousands of visitors that attended each year; we will continue to give back”.
