Our Premium Aberarder Red 2021 is back for a limited time!  And we have nicknamed it “Defying Gravity” in partnership with local hero Chris Hadfield.

Sometimes dreams come true!
Anne’s favorite person both on and off the planet is Chris Hadfield. We were lucky enough to run into him on his home turf where Anne gushed like a teenager.
By the end of  the conversation this kind and generous man had agreed to allow us to use his image on one of our wine labels!! Anne hasn’t stopped smiling!
Naturally the only one good enough is our long awaited premium blend the Aberarder Red!
We will be releasing this wine with a song and a dance and a party on December 1st from 12-6.
with
  • free tastings of the wine
  • a glass of our bubbles in celebration
  • snacks and lots of space themed fun as well as prizes!
This will take place “out of this world” in our Event Space just off the outdoor patio at Alton Farms Estate Winery – 5547 Aberarder Line.
Come out and see how silly Anne can be.
Alton Farms Estate Winery will be donating $5 per bottle sold of Defying Gravity (on the date of the release) to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, in Sarnia.

Free tastings of Defying Gravity on December 1st, plus free glasses of our latest sparkling wine – Bubbles – to celebrate the new look and to having the long awaited Aberarder Red back on the shelf.

 

Defying Gravity – Aberarder Red 2021

This elegant, full bodied, garnet red wine is a well balanced blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Regent grapes. It has a long smooth finish with leather, licorice, tobacco and baking spices on the nose and ripe dark fruits and baking spices on the tongue. It will be a great accompaniment to roast beef, pizza, blue cheese, mushroom swiss burgers, or just on its own.

For the Engineers in Space:

8% Petite Verdot

20% Cabernet Franc

31% Cabernet Sauvignon

19% Regent

22% Merlot

We are happy to have been able to release this in honour of our local Hero Chris Hadfield, Commander of the International Space Station, best-selling Author and much more – pictured on the label courtesy of NASA.
