DESCRIPTION:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nFriday June 21 4-6 pm\, Joan Spalding Live on th
 e patio at Alton Farms.  Come out and celebrate the start of a great summ
 er with a glass of Alton Farms Wine or a Wine Slushie!\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOur p
 atio is covered so a little rain\, or a lot of sun\, is not a problem.\n\n
 Select a glass of wine from our delicious handmade\, on-site crafted vari
 eties\, or a wine slushie?  Charcuterie boards and other snacks are avail
 able.\n\nWood Fired Pizzas will also be available.\n\nJoan came from a sma
 ll town in Southwestern Ontario called Mooretown which\, at the time\, had
  a population of about 60 people. She learned how to play rhythm guitar at
  the young age of 11 and had already been playing piano years.\n\nAs a gue
 st she has sung with The Rhythm Ramblers (Lloyd Sarrs)\, The Jubilares\, R
 oger Quick and the Rainbows\, plus many others. She formed her own band "T
 he Foggy Mountain Band" which included a local fiddle player (Bill Alexand
 er)\, her brother on banjo\,  her sister on piano and herself on guitar.\
 n\nJoan worked across the USA and Canada.  And she had the honour of sin
 ging the National Anthem as well at many local hockey games and events.\nA
 ccomplishments\nJoan is a three-time winner of the Canadian Open Singing C
 ontest in Ontario and has been a featured guest on the Jimmy Phair Show\, 
 Sun Parlour Country\, The Walters Family Show and CKNX radio show in Wingh
 am\, Ontario.\n\nJoan is a singer/songwriter who plays many instruments in
 cluding the guitar\, double reed harmonica\, banjo and mandolin.\n\nShe ha
 s recorded in Nashville with Howard Walker and Gary Buck as her producers\
 , released songs in Europe which went to the Top 10 in the charts.\n\nShe 
 can be found performing every weekend in Southwestern Ontario and has perf
 ormed many times with well known Canadian artists at Purple Hill Country H
