DESCRIPTION:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWednesday August 23rd\, 6-8 (ish) pm\, Joan Spal
 ding Live on the patio at Alton Farms.\n\nJoan came from a small town in S
 outhwestern Ontario called Mooretown which\, at the time\, had a populatio
 n of about 60 people. She learned how to play rhythm guitar at the young a
 ge of 11 and had already been playing piano years.\n\nAs a guest she has s
 ung with The Rhythm Ramblers (Lloyd Sarrs)\, The Jubilares\, Roger Quick a
 nd the Rainbows\, plus many others. She formed her own band "The Foggy Mou
 ntain Band" which included a local fiddle player (Bill Alexander)\, her br
 other on banjo\,  her sister on piano and herself on guitar.\n\nJoan wor
 ked across the USA and Canada.  And she had the honour of singing the Nat
 ional Anthem as well at many local hockey games and events.\nAccomplishmen
 ts\nJoan is a three-time winner of the Canadian Open Singing Contest in On
 tario and has been a featured guest on the Jimmy Phair Show\, Sun Parlour 
 Country\, The Walters Family Show and CKNX radio show in Wingham\, Ontario
 .\n\nJoan is a singer/songwriter who plays many instruments including the 
 guitar\, double reed harmonica\, banjo and mandolin.\n\nShe has recorded i
 n Nashville with Howard Walker and Gary Buck as her producers\, released s
 ongs in Europe which went to the Top 10 in the charts.\n\nShe can be found
  performing every weekend in Southwestern Ontario and has performed many t
 imes with well known Canadian artists at Purple Hill Country Hall in Thorn
