DESCRIPTION:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWednesday August 9th\, 6-8 (ish) pm\, Joan Spald
 ing Live on the patio at Alton Farms.\n\nJoan came from a small town in So
 uthwestern Ontario called Mooretown which\, at the time\, had a population
  of about 60 people. She learned how to play rhythm guitar at the young ag
 e of 11 and had already been playing piano years.\n\nAs a guest she has su
 ng with The Rhythm Ramblers (Lloyd Sarrs)\, The Jubilares\, Roger Quick an
 d the Rainbows\, plus many others. She formed her own band "The Foggy Moun
 tain Band" which included a local fiddle player (Bill Alexander)\, her bro
 ther on banjo\,  her sister on piano and herself on guitar.\n\nJoan work
 ed across the USA and Canada.  And she had the honour of singing the Nati
 onal Anthem as well at many local hockey games and events.\nAccomplishment
 s\nJoan is a three-time winner of the Canadian Open Singing Contest in Ont
 ario and has been a featured guest on the Jimmy Phair Show\, Sun Parlour C
 ountry\, The Walters Family Show and CKNX radio show in Wingham\, Ontario.
 \n\nJoan is a singer/songwriter who plays many instruments including the g
 uitar\, double reed harmonica\, banjo and mandolin.\n\nShe has recorded in
  Nashville with Howard Walker and Gary Buck as her producers\, released so
 ngs in Europe which went to the Top 10 in the charts.\n\nShe can be found 
 performing every weekend in Southwestern Ontario and has performed many ti
 mes with well known Canadian artists at Purple Hill Country Hall in Thornd
