July 29, 2016 (PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) – Alton Farms Estate Winery, Lambton County’s only Grape Winery, is hosting an Artist in the Vineyard Event and is also releasing it’s latest Foch/Frontenac Rosé wine on the weekend of August 6 and 7th.

The winery will be open from noon – 6 PM on both Saturday and Sunday August 6 and 7th for the Artist in the Vineyard Event.

This year the event is starting small and will have, for display and sale, the artwork of:

  • Merle Henshaw of Kilworth
  • Ulila Robson of Strathroy
  • Harriet Turner of Strathroy

There may be a few more “surprise” Artists – but this is still being worked on.

At this event, the Winery will also be releasing it’s latest Rosé wine – the blend that our customers helped us make with their voting during last years Fall event.

This Foch/Frontenac Rosé wine is a great summer sipping wine and has the following tasting notes:

This crisp fruity rose wine is soft on the palate with medium acids.  It has a lovely butterscotch and cotton candy nose, with cranberry and tart red fruits on the palate.   This is a picnic basket wine, and will be a great accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch, salmon, brie cheese, Turkey dinner or just on its own.
